Domino’s has been my favorite pizza brand for a long long time now. It was in 1999 that I first tasted Domino’s pizza at the Times Square outlet. I still remember I was waiting with my mother-in-law in the restaurant for the pizza, while my husband was parking the car in the next block. There was a group of over enthusiastic hooligan teenagers, who were creating a lot of ruckus on the street, yelling, banging on the glass windows of all the shops on the street. Of course, they disappeared in no time ,but to be honest, for a moment it did send a shiver down my spine. But all that vanished as soon as my husband and the pizza arrived. It was the best and yummiest tasting pizza I had till then. Ever since, I have tasted pizzas from almost every brand I could lay my hands on, but I can still say Domino’s sells the tastiest pizzas and sides.Garlic bread sticks is one of my favorite items from their menu, but only second in hierarchy to their delicious  Cheese burst pizza.

( Dominos marketing team. If you happen to be reading this you can consider sending me a large cheese burst pizza and your latest subwich  please  😉 )

I wanted to try my hand at making the garlic bread sticks.I found an ultimate recipe at bharatzkitchen.com  . I was lucky to have come across this amazing blog. It is hosted by an excellent Chef  Bharat Wadhwa. Those of you who haven’t been to this blog must go have a look. It has the most outstanding food on display with some hard to find recipes.Thank you bharatzkitchen.com for sharing this recipe with all Domino’s fans.

The bread sticks turned out so well , my family thought I had ordered them from Domino’s, until I told them they were home made. They tasted exactly like the original Domino’s bread sticks.I added cheese on top as well as inside for extra taste.

I can remember how happy I was when I went away to college and could order Domino’s on my own . . . I actually gained about 20 pounds the first semester, no joke . . . all from pizza. I still have a fondness for Domino’s even though my husband prefers Round Table as fast food pizza goes. But back in the day they didn’t have those cheese breadsticks, which are so much easier to eat and not as greasy as the pizza if you dip in tomato sauce!

I think it is their oregano seasoning which does the trick. It leaves such a wonderful after taste in the mouth that leaves you craving for more. I can totally relate to your college experience. A couple of years back Domino’s had launched their cheese burst pizza.I went to their outlet for dine in ( because i believe it can never taste the same when home delivered ). We got a ticket from the traffic cops for wrong parking though it was not our fault. The Domino’s guys wanted to make up for the inconvenience caused to us and gifted us a fat book of 50% discount coupons. And you can imagine what happened. As the book became thinner we became fatter lol . And one fine day I just gifted the coupon book to someone else 😀 And my entire family had to increase our work out time.

  19. Domino’s was founded, back in the 1960’s I believe, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I live in the neighboring town of Ann Arbor so of course I have had their pizzas numerous times beginning when I attended Eastern MI Univ.- right down the street from the original store. Headquarters is still located here and I live close enough to a store to have my pizza delivered. Your bread looks delicious 🙂
