- Whole Chicken with skin : 1
- Yogurt : 1 cup
- Ginger Garlic paste : 2 tablespoons
- Onion paste : 2 tablespoons
- Salt : to taste
- Red Chilli powder : 1 teaspoon or to taste
- Cumin seed powder : 1 tablespoon
- Honey : 1 tablespoon
- Lemon : 1
- Sesame seeds : 1 tablespoon
- Oil : 2 tablespoon
- Carrots : 1
- Potato : 1
- Onion : 1 big
- Capsicum : 1 (optional)
- Red food color : a pinch
Clean the chicken and marinate with yogurt, salt, chilli powder, lemon juice, Juice of ginger garlic paste(strained), juice of onion paste, cumin powder, color and half the oil. Add chopped veggies of your choice into the marinade. Leave for a couple of hours.
Cover with foil and cook in the oven at 200 degrees centigrade. Uncover and remove the chicken from the marinade and brush with honey. Sprinkle sesame seeds and brush with oil. Now roast this chicken under the grill at 160 degrees for 10 minutes on each sides till the skin gets crisp.
If the marinade sauce is too thin , cook it for awhile till you get the consistency of your choice and serve it with the chicken as a dip sauce.
Healthy Eating Tip :
You can use olive oil and remove the skin of the chicken if you want.
